Hi, I’m Katy Willis…

…Practising GP

…Coach

…Wellbeing consultant

I’ve got a passion for helping you develop your strengths in order to live life to the full. My enthusiasm for personal development comes from my own learning from life situations such as stress, anxiety, depression, shame, judgement, self-judgement, overeating, analysis paralysis, bereavement, exam failure, redundancy, business start-up, career change, whistleblowing, complaints, as well as learning from walking with others as a medic and as a friend in their life situations.

I’ve been coaching individuals and teams since 2013, and have over 20 years’ experience as a GP in inner city London. I have been a GP partner, run quality improvement programmes, and have extensive experience facilitating and teaching adult groups from 4-50 people. I listen sensitively and have advanced communication skills. I am calm, enthusiastic, and have excellent organisational skills.

My coaching practice is shaped by positive psychology and wellbeing, mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Action for Happiness are an excellent charity whose aim is to create more happiness in the world and to enable people to take action to create more happiness – they bring together scientific research on happiness and wellbeing which is a large influence – no one wants an unhappy life.

Distinct

I have a track record in helping people find their ‘lightbulb’ moment in coaching.

Collaborative

We work together to explore your goals and ways to get there.

Personalised

You are the focus in your coaching session. Your mind is the goldmine of your life, of your workplace. 100% of my attention is on you during your coaching.

Contextual

We look at who you live and work with, (and who they live and work with), and the push and pull of those relationships.

Unique

I tailor my coaching to the unique human you are, so each session is different – according you who you are, where you are, and where you’d like to get to.

Challenging

I check in with you about the level of challenge you are comfortable with for maximum growth and learning. Support without challenge = stagnation.

Positive

Our brains have a negative focus (survival tactic). We can train our brains for positivity; I offer tools to help you do that. My coaching is positive and developmental, shaped by positive psychology and wellbeing.

Fun

My coaching is creative, varied, gives you tools to increase your wellbeing. The ridiculous often helps us see our own reality in perspective.

Headspace

I give you space to notice, and to think at your best. I ask questions and listen rather than tell or advise, to help you develop your own thoughts and solutions.

Supportive

I create a safe, confidential space for you to explore new ideas and overcome any obstacles.

Sustainable

You learn to coach yourself, and make me redundant.
